water weight

Can anyone provide me with some information about water weight? I know some things that have been said in the past about it, but it seems as though it is "wives' tails" or traditional stuff that really insn't based on fact (like 90% of the stuff Arnold has said about muscle growth). During my bulking and cutting, i want to minimize the water weight factor and lose/gain mainly fat (cutting) and muscle (bulking).

Any studies or articles discussing what exactly it means and how to avoid it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance!

Best way to drop water weight is low carbs- your body holds 3 grams of water for every gram of carbohydrate. Creatine also causes you to retain water in the cells. Of course if you're really hardcore about it just use diuretics (Lasix) like pro bodybuilders.
