Weekly instead of 2 week cycles

I'm sure there are other threads on this, but I can't find one. Let me know if you can point me in that direction.

I've been following the HST formula in terms of frequency, weight progression, etc. but with the following deviation from the standard program: instead of the 2 week cycles I do the 1x15 rep workout on Monday, 2x10 on Wednesday, and 3x5 on Friday. I repeat this formula, ramping up the weights as I go through the overall cycle, then SD. This seems to work for me, but I'd be curious to hear opinions on whether or not you feel that this is counter-productive to HST principles, or if it falls into the 'whatever works' category.

Thanks, guys.

It doesn't go against HST principles, so you are clear to move forward with this HST cycle.

I have done a couple short cycles before that had one week mesocycles.

in the end it all works as long as you train hard enough and eat enough. with shorter cycles you can stay at or near your max,s which standard hst wont accomplish and is what i beleive to be its biggest floor.
