Which exercise to alternate with deadlifts?

I am in the process of thinking about a HST cycle

For legs I have the following combinations 6X fullbody workouts a week alternating between A and B.

A) Front Squats and Leg Curls
B) Deadlifts and Leg Press (feet close, low on platform to emphasise quads)

Some people have recommended Deadlifts and Leg curls but methinks the the hams/glutes seem to get a bit more work than the quads during deads so additional quad work is probably warranted. Perhaps leg extensions or Hack squats would be a better idea (less glute involvement, larger ROM/stretch component).


Any thoughts?
 
Try extensions..i think hack is one of the best ways to mess up your knees. Only thing it`s good at is training calves.
 
How do you effectively train calves on a hack? can't really achieve a decent stretch?

What are peoples feelings on leg press vs extension, I guess I always tend to lean towards compound exercises unless someone can give me a good reason not to?
 
I alternate my deads with leg press, and leg extn with leg curls.

I imagine you position your feet so toes are on the lower edge of the hack squat platform, contract and relax away.
