I have a cold. A minor one - the kind that just lingers for days, causing some sniffles, a little throat pain....a pain in the ass, really, but nothing more than that.

I HATE the idea of going a week without working out, as I hate backsliding soooo much. Is it OK to work out if I'm a little sick? Obviously I'd never do it with a fever or anything, but this is just a small cold...

yep. you're right on the $- not w/ a fever, flu, or serious infection, but if your symptoms are quite minor it won't hurt. there's a theory that in the very early stages of an illness, a wokout can help "kill the bug" by raising your core temp (basically simulating a mild fever).
