I just wanted to express my appreciation for a long time member and great contributor to the board Totentanz. I've been impressed with his willingness to post here and there in a patient and helpful manner to threads that many skip because the question has been answered many times before.

Anyway, thank you Totentanz for all your great posts over the years and congratulations for demonstrating clear expertise in both training and diet strategies. The HST forum is certainly better with you than without you.

Yeah, I concur with everything Bryan said. It's great that you are back here and posting again. Congrats on your upgrade! :)

Hey thanks guys. I just like helping out people who aren't experts like the rest of us yet. I remember what it was like when I was starting out and didn't know what I was doing... I wish that I had found this place earlier since I really credit HST with steering me in the right direction all those years ago.

Congrats Tot

Bryan's right you deserve it, many of us don't really have time any more.

The choice is really appropriate!

as a new bloke to this forum i want to say congrats and thanks Totentanz. the tips you and Fausto gave me over the last couple of days is invaluable, not to mention the 5+ years of posts from all you guys, so thanks!

Oh, yeah! Wish I knew then what I know now. I could have saved myself a lot of wasted effort.

Congrats on the 'expert' rating, Totz. But, to be fair, I had already considered you an expert for a long time now.

Thanks guys. Keep in mind though, anything posted by me, say... four years or so and before, just ignore it. I didn't really know what I was talking about back then, looking back on it now, haha.

I doubt that. In any case a lot of what you said back then was pretty funny! Aaron was classy too. :)

I check out the HST forums every once in while. I rarely actually login. Anyway, I remember seeing Totentanz's name several years ago (or more, time flies!). Didn't you used to weigh 185 lbs?? : )

Here's my quick intro: I believe I first stumbled upon HST the fall of 2001 (I think). I've toyed around with a lot of different training programs , and whenever I want to get serious and make gains, I go back to HST. My best lifts were during HST cycles.

185 was actually my goal weight at one point. I don't remember when. Time does certainly fly though. Hard to believe that it's been over 5 years since I registered on the HST forums... Course it's been over 8 years for you, so... holy cow.

I know what you mean though. I've toyed with other routines too, and liked some of them, but HST has always been the best for putting on size. I still stick the basic principles even when I'm training for strength. I've made all my best gains in size with HST or HST variants.
