Keystone - don't know if its in the mag. Just saw it on the site.
Colby - yeh I didnt notice either until I finished reading and thought "Bryan Haycock? I'm sure I know the name. Nah, can't be the same guy." - untill I read the word "HST"...
Getting HST into such a...
Not to alarm anyone, but over in the UK, an MP is pushing for a ban on aspartame. He's citing a study by Italians on rats which showed that continued consumption of aspartame, below recommended intake, lead to repeated instances of malignant tumours...
See what results you get from this workout. If it works great, why change? The whole point in HST is muscle growth so these exercises ARE designed for just that.
Keeping going until you get bored or something hurts or doesnt work. I've been doing the same exercises (almost) for ages and have no...
If you're getting results then why change? Unless of course you're getting bored. But if it aint broke then dont fix it.
What you could do, is switch the leg work for squats and deads. Killer exercises no doubt - very cool.
I could rig up something like that. I just thought that killing two birds with one stone would be a good idea.
I could hook up a rope to hold on to or something and pull down into a crunch. Good idea.
I tend to only do 1 set anyway for the 15s but double up on the 10s and triple 5s. I was thinking about that single set thing too. I guess it depends on how long ur muscles are under tensions. 15s and 10s I's have thought would be fine. 5s...I dont know.
So I dont have a chin bar so I decided to use the horizontal bar which holds the pulley on my home gym. Good idea. Well almost. I'm 6'1" and it's too short so I have a brain storm -- I hate floor work (crunches) so why not just pull my knees up, do the chins and work the abs at the same...
I remember some research was done with birds, or something, which involved loading the wings with weights. They found that the muscles grew over time.
I'd like to try it, but I'm scared I'll end up dragging my knucles on the floor :)
Thanks guys. Yeah, I thought the iso's could def go in the 5s but I thought I could get rid earlier too. I guess the stretch would be good though.
Dips are about a half foot out from each hip. I definitely feel it in the triceps - and chest if I lean forward enough. Doing them slowly and deep...
I find fitday.com pretty good even to just check out calorie content. If it doesnt have a specific food I'm after I just check something similar and improvise the answer.
I guess your strength could have increased during the 15s so the 10s and 5s WOULD be easier.
I guess this would be a plus to doing 15s in that you could go further with weight later on in the cycle.
I've read quite a few posts on compounds over isolation (though not saying this method is exclusive).
I train at home and have to improvise on certain exercises but I before yesterday (new cycle) I was doing:
Bench
Lat pulldowns
Hammer Curls
Skull Scrushers
Dips
Squats
I thought I'd change it...
I would have thought cold. Yeh, I get about 1/4" - 1/2" pumped but if it's only temporary I don't see the point of including it in measurements. Unless you carry weights around and stay pumped all day :)
