I have been trying to show my avatar but it seems not to work.

In the option Edit Avatar I see the option is market “No Avatar Specified Avatars" and I cant change this.

How can I put this visible?

im having the same problem. Just uploaded my picture but it doesnt show up in my threads?

The problem is you set it as your profile picture instead of your avatar. If you are in the my settings panel, then you will see two options. One says "Edit Profile Picture" and one says "Edit Avatar" - currently you have a picture set as your profile picture, so just go back into it and go to edit avatar and then you can set that one up as well.

When I go into Edit avatar it says do not use as an avatar and a small circle has been clicked and you cant take it off.

That's strange.

Does your screen look like this one? Or are the bottom two options missing?
