Hey guys,
I'm tryng to figure out my proper maintenance calorie limit and its really difficult. I tried all these calculators you find on the internet and many come up with different numbers. The first issue is my activity level, I'm not sure the correct one. it's either lightly, moderately or very active. I don't think I'm very active.

I have a desk/computer job during the week. I get up often to walk to the printer or downstairs to get coffee. i do my normal HST workout 3 days a week. Then I usualy walk, ride my moutain bike or hit the heavy bag a total of two other days. Do you think this would be lightly or moderately active??

If your activity level is classified as moderate, you multiply your BMR by 1.6....light is 1.4

Seems like you have two days in the week where you do nothing...i'd try multiplying bmr by 1.5...then adjust according to how many inches you gain or lose. Nothing is written in stone. We're all different. You have to measure along the way to find out what works for you.

I would say it is a moderate level of activity. I don't know which calculators you are using but maybe these spreadsheets will help.
