Minimum LBM for worthwhile cutting cycle

Hi guys,

Is there a minimum weight below which cutting cycles simply wouldn't make sense ? I've been cutting for a while, now do to roughly 158 lbs with 11% bf or so the tanita says). Got some body mass there, though not very plentiful.

Any ideas for if cutting cycles make sense for lower LBMs ? What would be the mechanics/biological principles behind this ? And what would be a "good" LBM to start cutting it and why ?

Although logic would suggest higher LBM = more return from a cutting cycle, since the objective is mostly seeing abs, I wonder if even 10 or 20 lbs more overall LBM will really make much of a difference in the abdominal area.

its all a matter of personal preference..
you say its all about seein abs.
so the question really is

WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM YOUR TRAINING

if you wanna look like skinny boy Brad Pitt in FIGHT CLUB then go on a cutting cycle
if you wanna look like the Hulk, bulk bulk bulk till you get to LBM of say 260lbs then cut...

as for, would an extra 20 lbs make a difference..
imagine skinny boy with an extra 20lbs of muscle slapped around his chest arms and neck, now theres a goal :D
