Please stop the SPAM!!!!

I wonder if they actually make money off spamming people. I don't click on their links.

Maybe one of those VXXFGG random letter pictures could be used to block them.
 
What was at first a minor irritation (OT but mildly funny colorful jokes) has become a daily onslaught of porn and bodily function video links. I'm suprised at the tenacity of the posting as this is relatively speaking a VERY focused and on topic place to visit, can't figure out what impetus to keep posting this trash the guy(s) getting?
I'm a member of several other lifting forums and multiple guitar/gear forums and have always enjoyed the "on topicness"(pretty sure I invented that word) of this place . I think it's one of the most focused boards I know of , and am actually suprised at how protective and offended I feel, it's like this place was "virgin" territory and we have now been violated.
I'm sure we'll get this all straightened out in short order but I now feel a bit better for having vented a little...

Bryan extended my Mod capabilites to these forums as well so I can at least delete the crap as I have been and Aaron has been. We can only bandage it for now.

That would be nice, but that doesn't stop someone who wants to spam on purpose. It only stops automatic phishing/spam systems.

RUSS...whatcha' workin' wit??? I have a Takamine F-340 with a pickup in it, a Gibson hollow body sunburst Country Gentleman (with twin humbucker pickups) and my favorite is a classical box with nylon strings I found for $75.00.

Sorry I was out of town. I just got Fausto's email about this. I'll see what needs to be done.

To help me block the offending IP addresses, please send me a PM with a link the trash posts so I can get the IP of the poster and block it. I'll also see what else ikonboard can do, not exactly my favorite piece of software but hopefully it can do something.

Regards, we'll get over this as we did with the funky problems before, although this might be a little tougher.

My main guitar is a Peavey Custom shop Wolfgang Standard Stop tail.It's modified with a push/pull tone knob so I can split the P.U.'s for single coils tones (tobbacco burst). I have several other electrics but that ones my "baby", also an Ibanez nylon string,cut away,piezo pickup classical that I've been getting into more and more .

     My main amp is a Carvin Nomad that I took a saw to and changed from a 1x12 combo to a head and run through a closed back 1x12 celestion GreenBack loaded extension cab, but ever since an epiphone Valve special ( 5watts , single ended class A) found itself under my christmas tree (thanks wife!!!) I 've been using that exclusively as I can get great tube tones at police free volumes at home. I switched out the stock 10"er for a weber alnico blue Pup(speaker), and have done several of the mods found at 18watt.com , changing several capacitator values and swapping out a better output transformer.Replaced the stock sovtek tubes (2x 12ax7, 1x el84) to Electroharmonics and slapped a micro mass (attenuator) between the amp and the speaker and have been able to get a marshallesque/voxish thing going at near loud television levels.
       I go for a Jimmy Page type "breakup as you dig into it clean as your attack backs off " style tone and play Blues, jazz and classic rock.I play out locally in a guitar/vocalist jazz/blues dou, mostly coffee houses nothing too impressive but a lot of fun , plus I'm married to my vocalist so it all falls under "family time".
