POST-WORKOUT NUTRITION Help please

I'm curious whether I should combine my malto/dex and whey all into one big shake immediately after my workout, or if I should have my malto/dex drink first, and then the protein shake 30 mins. later. I've heard of people doing both, but I'm not sure if one method is better than the other. I've seen research that showed that a carb/protein combo produced better results than just carb or protein alone, but then there's the fact that a carb/protein mixed drink would digest slower. Sigh! I'm a little confused. I'd also like to add glutamine and BCAA's into the mix, so maybe a carb only drink might be better for that. What are your opinions and experience with these two post-workout drink methods? Thanks

Why not combine the shake and sip it from 1/2 hr. before the workout up to the end of it. This way, you have carbs for energy, and proteins available before the damage begins. I've done this for years.
Oh, and according to new science, BCAA's are only beneficial for the workout if you use them at all. Glutamine is always good, timing not important there.
