Gaining muscle AND losing fat - by eating differently on successive days - possible?

Hi

Is it possible to put on muscle AND lose fat over a period of say a week or two, by eating differently on successive days?

i.e.
- DAY A
The day AFTER a training session (call it "Day A"), I could eat a slight surplus of calories, so as to put on muscle...

- DAY B
And then the next day (call it "Day B") I could go on a gentle aerobic run for 20 - 30 minutes first thing in the morning, and then be in slight calorie deficit (to gently burn fat) until late afternoon... when I would eat a reasonable meal 1-2 hours before training ready to be in catabolic state again.

Any thoughts?

I started HST with my DIET

Listen I know I'm not an expert, I started working out 9 weeks ago, I lost a total of 10 Kg's of FAT and i lost 1Kg of Lean Muscle mass ( i got these results using the machine in my GYM it shows exactly FAT and muscle and water distributions).
My diet is this: no rice no bread ( no carbs at all except from vegetables and my protein shake 3.9 g per scoop i guess) but i eat 5 meals one of them can be an apple and one can be a half grilled chicken, and protein shakes 2-3 scoops on training day.
now Why im writing here, well 2 weeks ago i lost a total of 7kgs of FAT ( on a period of 7 weeks) and lost 2 kgs of lean muscle mass.. here is where i searched for a different training method.. HST..
Now after trying HST for 2 weeks.. 1 week was seeing my weights and one working week. I re saw my weight using that scale and it turned out that i lost in the last 2 weeks 3KG of fat and i GAINED 1 kg of lean muscle mass..
If you want i can keep on posing my results every 2 weeks and you can copy my diet plan..
SORRY if my writing is messy but I'm about to sleep!

Shiphen, look up the Lean Gains site/blog by Martin Berkhan. I'm not sure if Totentanz is correct in attempting to both at the same time, but it's definitely an approach geared around trying to get as lean as possible while keeping as much muscle as possible. There's likely some threads on here about it as well, if you do a search for intermittent fasting as mentioned by Totentanz they should pop to the top.
