I was just browsing through an old book titled "Optimum Sports Nutrition" by Michael Colgan, a pretty well known sports nutrition expert. Colgan mentions that sleep and training both produce spikes in GH serum. Colgan recommends napping and FREQUENT, TWICE A DAY TRAINING to maximize...
Thanks for the feedback guys.. yea I guess this IS a bit hardcore.. but as long as I'm taking fiber, multivitamins, Omega-3 oil, and refeeding every once in a while to stimulate my BMR there's no reason not to do it while on HST.. mental wekaness is no excuse.
Sure I could do things slower and...
Thanks for the feedback guys :)
Based on my lifts yesterday.. I didn't really lose any size or strength, I just ran out of gas and felt deflated. I'm a meso-endo so I easily keep what I gain, so I'm not worried about the week of SD + diet , but regardless it's of course much better to be...
Hey folks,
Today I started my first day back after a 13 day SD, but the thing is for a week I've been on the PSMF diet which is basically 800-1200 calories of protein and essentially trace carbs and fat.. so needless to say my energy levels are LOW.. I find it easier to diet hardcore like this...
yea thick bones give you that blocky powerlifter look - great for supporting a 600 pound bench but horrible for bodybuilding.. what you want are massive forearms.. have a look at Mike's for inspiration... :)
My ideal body would be to somehow blend the classic proportions and beauty of Benfatto and Wheeler with the rugged angular look of Mentzer and the size and hardness/conditioning of Yates.. Unbeatable combo IMHO..

Noob,
If you have a history of excessive bodyfat and have endomoprhic traits then yea, you should watch your overall caloric intake. You won't need to go as crazy as a skinny ectomorph, but I would still error on the side of too much protein and limit carbs and fat if you have to cut something...
Hey Noob.. actually we have an automatic ice-maker and the cubes are those small wedged shaped thingies, so you may have to use less than 8-9 of regular full sized cubes. Just experiment.
As for too much protein? No way.. I weight about 280 and shoot for at least 500 grams per day. 100 grams...
Go to a cheap grocery store like FRY'S and stock up on the cheapo large cans of tuna!
Just by adding 2 extra scoops of protein powder per day to your protein shakes (an extra 36 grams) and eating a large can of tuna (65 grams) you are nearly doubling your protein intake.
In case you might...
