How long can you workout for and experience good

I workout for around 2 hours with weights every second day. Is this too long? Should I split the workout into an hour each day? Many people say if you workout for more than 45min to an hour, cortisol release can start to inhibit gains. Is this true?

2 hours is probably a little too long i have a long workout too 1 1/2 hours,i would either drop some excersises or shorten the time between sets,it also shaves time off if your workout is organized knowing exactly what you are going to do.i think 45mins to an hour is optimal but i like to do alot of excersises.

Cortisol or not, I still think it is a good idea to keep workouts at around an hour or less. It is easier to fit into your schedule and it is also easier to remain motivated when your workouts don't take up your entire day.

I agree with what the other guys say but I also can't figure out how you can possibly be working out for 2 hours with weights unles you're doing a lot of cardio and including that or going with a load of mates and sort of socialising at the same time?

What does your routine look like in terms of exercises and sets?

I managed to do a session in my 15s in 6 minutes!
