Holland and Barret is the one I already have :-(

    Fish oil content

Here I was happy in the knowledge that I'd put the last touches to my diet by adding fish oil capsules and flaxseed (not oil but pre-ground seed) and all the posts that came up when I searched under fish oil etc seemed to indicate that 3 or 4 fish oil tablets would be fine...for once no...

    what you say to this.....

Just to add I was talking about alternating between each session as opposed to weekly - I'm assuming that's what you're doing basso but let us know...

    what you say to this.....

I've actually always alternated every exercise and at the moment actually have 3 sessions I change between. I've found it means I can cover more bases (for example changing between rows and chins as I only do one back exercise), makes increments easier as they're double what they would be...

    Shoulders

True but I'll be doing them too :D Might try upright rows gironda fashion...or possibly heavy upright rows to bellybutton (vicious fashion?!) and then the laterals as stretch point afterwards

    Cutting question

Good point - I've also changed my routine into circuit training with mini circuits - I do one set of deads then one set of a chest exercise then one of a back, then I repeat that circuit followed by a compound shoulder exercise, then i do isolations for chest, back and shoulder, then I superset...

    Cutting question

I'm currently cutting but I'm also rather dismayed at how unfit I've got over the last couples of years as I never do cardio...much prefer doing weights :D So my solution is to ensure that my weights workout only lasts 40 mins max and then I do 20 mins cardio, not at fat burning pace but...

    Shoulders

I think I'll leave them until the start of my next cycle, then I can start at a nice light weight and concentrate on the technique...can probably leave out shoulder press altogether then and change between cable lateral raises, lying lateral raises and bentover raises, sounds good to me :)...

    how many sessions per week

If you're doing 6x a week then you only need to put your weight up every other session (or if possible you could put the weight up every session but only by half of the increments you usually use). There's a lot about frequency in the customising thread in the general training forum. Cheers Rob

    Gironda's bench & curls

This wasn't what I was looking for but is a twist on chins...sounds particularly streneous! 'A man named Vince Gironda made this exercise popular. Thankfully for us he did. They have been dubbed by many as the single best lat exercise ever invented! Hold on to your hats! Implementation: This...

    Gironda's bench & curls

Like it! :D I was looking at a cable row exercise he designed the other day, I'll see if I can find it. The putting your knees up during the bench is interesting, I tried that recently because I was reading a lot about pilates and was trying to get the correct posture, I don't like the...

That's a brilliant link, cheers mate did you get that from a website about gironda?

    Body split

If you're comparing your split to a 3 day routine then it will allow you to do greater volume and therefore probably be more beneficial. If you're comparing to a 6 day all body routine then I would favour all body over a split as you'll be working each bodypart twice as frequently as the split...

    Shoulders

I used to do presses every workout and lateral raises only for metabolic work but I've decided my front delt is a lot more developed than side (and now as per Tcup's post I need to check my rear delts too) so I want to put a bit more emphasis on them and maybe rear delts too whilst leaving...

    Shoulders

Good point mate...I'll need to carry on cutting so I can actually see the muscle to ascertain how big it is! :D

    Shoulders

I'm reposting this separately from my last post as it was mixed in with the gironda questions... My current cycle is split into 3 different all body routines...for shoulders this fits nicely as I can do presses in one session, cable lateral raises in another and bentover cable raises in my last...

    Gironda's bench & curls

Haven't tried the dips actually, will do next time! I haven't got a link for the bench but the only difference to a usual bench as far as I could tell was that you bring the barbell straight down to your neck as opposed to down to your mid chest and therefore the motion is a straight up and...

    Gironda's bench & curls

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone else had tried any of Vince Gironda's exercises? Or maybe I should say tried doing any exercises the way Gironda advised. I tried doing bench to the neck rather than to the chest the other day and I could really feel it in my chest...was annoying that my...

    what the f.....???!

I was reading an article about vince gironda and came across this... 'If you separate the white and yolk of the egg, you get an isolated protein. Any time you separate the white and the yolk of an egg, you get an isolated protein. Any time you separate protein from fat you're left with an...
