Basic HST training and results

hey everyone i just signed up and this is my first post. . couple quick questions.. what kinda results have you guys reaped by following HST? it seems so simple and seems like your not hitting the muscles hard enough.. im accustomed to 2 body part per week splits with about 6 sets for small muscle groups and 9-12 sets for large muscle groups.. i have always gotten mediocre results and im slowly getting bigger but im wondering if anyone has experienced extraordinary gains in short amounts of time using HST?
 
only 3 weeks in but so far here my results,,really happy so far and starting to visually look bigger. i have a training journal in the training log section if you would like to monitor progress. in another week ill re measure and have more stats

before AFTER
right bi 37cms - 14.6inch 37.6cms 14.8inch (+.6cms, +.2inches)
left bi 36cms - 14.2inch 37cms 14.6inches ( + 1cm,+ .4inches)
chest 102cms-40.2inch 105.5 41.5inches (+ 3.5cms , +1.3inches) checked this 4 times to see if accurate
shoulders 118cms - 46.5inch 118cms 46.5inch no change
waist 92cms - 36.2inch 91.4cms 36 inches (- .6cms,-.2inches)
