Grip Work



I would like to improve my grip so I can progress faster in my deadlifts. Today I'm basically limited by my grip strength. To get things worse, the barbells at my current gym are chrome coated, so its surface is very slippery.

I don't want to use straps because I prefer to get a stronger grip. Farmers' walk is not a option either, since I don't have room at my gym to walk.

I'll order some chalk but I'd appreciate to hear some suggestions.
