Increasing max in the middle of cycle

Hi everyone

I am on my first HST cycle and I just completed the 10s. I am really impressed with only a month of HST - in the last workout of the 10s, I was able to go past my 10RM (as previously calculated) by 5 to 10 lbs on most exercises.

My question is - is this ok to go beyond my 10RM in the middle of the HST cycle? I don't see how it could be a problem, but would appreciate any comments from the more exprienced people out here.

Hello sach555 :)

That's not a problem.

If you believe you gained considerable strength, you may increase your rep maxes to compensate, OR you may just stick woth the old weights and just continue the progression of load until you hit your new max due to your strength increase. Either way will work fine.
