Im about to design a cycle for me and my friend at berkeley (hes on the rugby team...national champs this year

) and im incorporating the techniques listed in the customizing hst thread like wrapping towels, rolling socks around the feet, adjusting grip widths, and using platforms for SLDLs and DLs.

heres the questions....

when should we start using platforms for DLs and SLDLs?  im throwing SLDLs in in the 10s, so should i use a platform immediately or should i wait til later in the cycle?  also, should i use the platforms in a progressive fashion using none then one then two?

About the towel wrapping techniques, when should i start using them?  i plan on using 1 in the 10s then 2 in the 5s then 3 in the negs, hows that sound?

should i be adjusting grip widths in a progressive fashion, for example widening my pull up or incline bench grip an inch or two every week?

would it be effective to adjust the width of my stance for squats and leg press?

finally, last cycle i tried to do negatives for every exercise but SLDL, DL, and squats and started messing around with unilateral negatives for leg presses as well as leg curls and leg extensions.  is it even worth it to do negatives for those?

anybody know if vicious is still around, i think these questions are right up his alley

. has anyone experimented with these ideas? itd be great to get some insight before i put them to use
