Shrugs

Can someone please explain the correct movement for this exercise, or is it just a shrug? or is it a kinda roll at the type type shrug? Please explain.
 
Don't roll. It helps a lot (a LOT!) to do this exercise in front of a mirror. If you go by "feel", you may very well cheat yourself. When the shrugs start getting heavy, it "feels" like your shoulders are all the way up to your ears when they're not. A mirror lets you know if you are reaching a full range of motion.
