What does it mean when you reach your involuntary strength level? What does the term "involuntary strength level" mean? Please try to explain in a non-technical way. Thanks :D

Well, this might not be exactly right but:

Absolute strength would be your strength potential for your muscle mass. The more muscle you have, the greater strength potential you have.

Voluntary strength is the amount of strength you can recruit. You can improve this through training to make your CNS more efficient in a movement.

Well, guess what? Google is your friend. According to the terminology in this article ( http://www.thinkmuscle.com/articles/haycock/hst-05.htm ). Involuntary strength and what I called absolute strength are probably the same thing.

"Involuntary" strength is the amount of force a muscle will produce when hooked up to an external electric source such as myo-electric stimulation.
