Whats the proper way to do dips

I ask this because i have to add about 75 lbs(thats almost half my weight 165lbs) in a backpack to get a good dip workout... i go down to where my arms are at a 90 deg then go back up with a wide or narrow grip
 
It isn't necessary to go too deep. You really put the shoulder in a vulnerable position by going too deep.

90 degree angle at the elbow is fine especially when you're using extra weight.
