Excellent source of dietary fibre

I couldn't think of where to post this, so I'll post it here. Since fibre is a dietary supplement. Er ... Anyway, it's been ages since I've been to the forum, but I'm waiting to buy the book. Any idea as to time?

    Leucine and Protein Synthesis

More and more abstracts that I read (thanks again Steve, for the link) indicate that giving an amino acid into the blood increases synthesis. Unfortunately, getting aa's through the liver is tougher than taping an IV on. Still, maybe eating protein with a good leucine rating is worth our time.

    What are 'necessary' supplements?

Okay, "edge" I know! Multi-vitamin ... get a good one, chop it in half, and eat the two halves at different times of the day. Probably not a discernable difference, but your general health should stay a bit better. Fish Oils. I did an experiment on myself for these, and I found that...

    What are 'necessary' supplements?

Dude. No supplements are necessary. Most aren't even required for fantastic results. A LOT of supplements are taken to get an 'edge'. But the problem is that you never really know if you experienced more gains because of the supplements. For example. I used to get sick about every two weeks...

How pronounced are the effects of CLA

Sounds like you'd want to take this about an hour after supper? That way you're full, and your energy stores will be already up to snuff. Maybe take it with some low GI food, so that the insulin would protect it from the liver? Well, I guess the meal timing would depend on how you ate...

How pronounced are the effects of CLA

I'm guessing it's some unpleasant in-between ground. You know, one of those supplements where you include it in your regimen, and then when you see gains, you have no idea what to attribute the gains to ....

    Myostatin Binders

    No wonder you're reading the myostatin thread .... Too bad they didn't have this when the fetus was still replicating cells. {not that I think it would work, but the sellers imply that it would be most useful on a fetus}

Congratulations Steve. You now have the biggest responsibility in the world, and I wish you the best.

Hot or cold water for dissolving protein?

There are different types of denaturing. In Biochemistry, we term a protein denatured when it can no longer do the function it was designed for, or permanently changing the protein structure. For example, egg white. Frying an egg will denature the egg white, and there's nothing you can do to...

    Myostatin Binders

I bought Tribex for myself and Methoxy for a bud. We were guinea pigs. He said that the Methoxy made him feel "hot" at night. But since he went on Hydroxcut two weeks later (and two weeks before the bodycomp) - I have no idea how effective it is. I don't really like the way Methoxy...

    Myostatin Binders

I think it's a pipe dream. Their blocker is a polysaccharide - a sugar. Since you eat the supplement, there's very little chance it will make it into your blood. Heck. Maltodextrin, lactose, sucrose, starch, etc. are all polysaccharides. They get broken down too. Anyway, testing for the...

    Creatine cycling for HST

Lars, please tell me what training effects and benefits you believe you'll get from Creatine. Do you believe that it will add to the microtrauma you experience? Why? If it does add, why not just do more work to get the same microtrauma? Personally, I believe creatine is a "show off&quot...
