    Carbs & Fats Mixed

I hear so much dang controversey about this - probably more than anything else. This is my one big gripe that still exists with dieting. I'd really love to hear from Bryan or Lyle, but I rarely see them posting here. In any case - what's the real deal? Can you mix them? SHOULD you mix them...

    Protein - More or less?

http://www.hypertrophy-specific.com/hsn_artcls_proteinmyths.html Okay, in this it says how increased levels of protein will, in the end, allow for greater synthesis and thus, gains in muscle tissue. Basically, anyway, right? So what's with the whole "Eating For Size, Diet/Nutrition&quot...

    correct bench press form

Oh? That's kind've odd, to switch from inner to outer. How would that really function? Doesn't sound adequate, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Describe it in more detail, exactly. If you would?

I only feel my arm muscles

Don't listen to s7e. Elbows should stay in with any benching movement. Don't let them flare out or you will end up with rotator cuff problems.

I read Protein post WO only?

By taking your carbs one hour later, is he suggesting dextrose? Or regular, slow-burning carbs? I'm guessing the general consensus is...no dextrose then?

“To be a Viking you have to eat like a Viking.”

I've had more than enough experience, don't assume that I haven't. Highly likely? No. Unlikely. Possible, maybe. But not 'highly likely'?

“To be a Viking you have to eat like a Viking.”

No way no how is more than 20x bodyweight in calories needed to grow muscle, unless maybe you're a complete ectomorph, through and through. I eat 17-19x bodyweight and grow. I'm a mesomorph. 20x just to maintain? Hahahaha...right... I hate a lot of studies and research.

    Getting fat from Base calories???

Huh-wha? Go do some research on fats. Your test levels will be at their peak if about 30% of your day's calories come from fats. EFAs and all good stuff, of course.

    Eating During: Maxes & SD

What should one do in terms of diet when finding their maxes? How about during SD? I know how to eat during the HST program, but I'm curious how the diet should compare during the week of finding your maxes and the 1.5-2 weeks of SD.

    Getting fat from Base calories???

Up the fats to get optimum test levels. Also, you might want to try something like a CKD. I always see people get great results from low-carb dieting. Though, it is a pain in the @$$.

I drink 1/2 to 3/4 gallon of milk during workout

Actually, I have looked it up enough know that I'm in no risk of mercury poisoning eating two cans of tuna daily. So, I have researched it "extensively". I don't see you throwing anything up to prove what I'm saying otherwise anyway, nor do I care.

    15-20% Total Cals From Protein

Who has done this and actually had good results? I'm looking at giving it a shot. I'm a bit thicker (not fat, not even a belly, just a little softness) so I figured I'd use the recommendation of 20-25%. I'm hitting about 23% total cals from protein, 30% fats, and the other 47% carbs. At a...

    Massive Eating

So isn't it better to mix them and leave four hour spaces or so between meals? If you have one meal with fat, and then a carb meal later, you end up having fats peaking (3-4 hours) as you eat your next meal and the carbs get into your blood.
