Day 16 DL, modified V stance; 3-200kg, 1-220kg, 240kg, 250kg, 260kg, [email protected] Slowed to a near stop at my sticking point (base of knee cap), but otherwise fine. Erectors tired after yesterday. Abs; 10-40kg, 60kg, 70kg. Facepulls and lower ROM pull-ups. Right shoulder is really saying no to vertical pulling these days. Evening; DL, modified V stance; 1-200kg, 220kg, 240kg, [email protected], [email protected] Felt great.
Day 17 DL, modified V stance; 1-200kg, 220kg, 240kg, [email protected], [email protected], no sticking points. 15mins. On minimal food, after pool time, I’ll take it.
Day 18 DL, V stance; 1-200kg, 220kg, 240kg, 260kg, [email protected] That’s a PR double in post-baby time. Possibly a triple was lurking, but not sure I’d have stayed conscious.
Day 19 DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 1-220kg, 240kg, 260kg, [email protected] Decent speed, no sticking point, no second rep going to happen though. Glad to hit this after heavy double yesterday. Short session this morning.
Day 20 DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 2-220kg, 1-240kg, [email protected] Tired legs and not quite pulling with enough pop at the break. Still, not too hard either. Things still moving forward. Seated back raises; 5-200kg, 5,5-220kg.
Day 21 DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 1-225kg, 245kg, [email protected], [email protected] speed. 225 flew up, knew I was strong today. Straight arm pull down; 3x8-40kg. Abs; 10-40kg, 60kg, 70kg.
Day 22 DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 1-220kg, 240kg, 250kg, 260kg. [email protected] speed. Facepulls Didn’t have a heap of gas in the tank after yesterday. Will take an earnest shot at 260 for a triple tomorrow hopefully.

Evening; DL, V stance; 1-200kg, 225kg, 245kg, [email protected], [email protected] The 285 shouldn’t have been there, and haven’t done a grinder like that in quite a while. Started wondering if I was going to pass out perhaps ... but didn’t, so all good.
Day 24 DL, V stance; 1-200kg, 225kg, 245kg, [email protected] Probably had 290 on the cards today if I wanted it. But today was for a reps set. Post-baby PR, and getting closer to being back to my strongest. Both a deadlift bar and safety squat bar are on the way, reverse hyper in December. Getting excited about the prospect of daily DL’ing on the specialty bar.
And of course I fell down the stairs and my left shin is the size of an orange :/ ... will continue doing deadlift everyday somehow, hopefully ...
Day 26 Could be worse, compression bandage last night and again during the workout seems to be holding me together well enough. DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 1-220kg. 240kg, 250kg, [email protected], [email protected] speed. Faster and better than last time, which is a nice and encouraging sign. Abs; 10-40kg, 60kg. Straight arm pulldowns; 3x8-40kg. These feel incredible on the core. Somewhat akin to a standing ab wheel. Nice on the lats too obv.
Day 27 DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 1-225kg, 245kg, [email protected], [email protected] speed. This was grindy, no doubt, and probably had no business being there. Didn’t have great pop off the floor but hip and leg drive was still there. Hard to complain regardless. The rep was far better form than grinders were 6-8 weeks ago at the same load. CG cable row; 8,10-120kg. Slowly formulating a long term programming approach for deadlifting everyday. I like two months ago, there is noticeable improvement, despite basically just a per-session-volume for frequency switch. I am trying to figure out the best way up to 290. Probably jumping from 275? SSB and deadlift bar are each not too far off. Really looking forward to those SSB GMs and pulling the slack out on 27mm. Evening; OHP; myoreps; 60kg-12+3+3+3.
Day 28 DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 1-220kg, 240kg, 250kg 260kg, [email protected] speed. Slogging it today. Just a bit tired out. Bumped food and 10mins walks. Seated back raises; 5-220kg, 230kg, 240kg. Evening; DL; 1-200kg, 220kg, 240kg, 265kg, [email protected] speed, no sticking points. Felt really good, not fast but not grindy, solid technique.
Day 29 DL, V stance; 3-200kg, 1-220, 240kg, 250kg. [email protected] Felt ugly but hinged it out. Nice to hit this again finally.
Day 30 DL, V stance; 1-200kg, 225kg, 245kg, [email protected], [email protected] speed. Bad sleep due to Soph having a stomach bug. SSB GM; 5-60kg, 2x5-100kg. SSB arrived, started playing around with GMs and squats. Well worth the wait and the modest investment. GMs feel incredible on the erectors.
Day 31 DL, V stance; 1-200kg, 220kg, 240kg, [email protected], [email protected] Probably had a grinder at 290kg. Was focusing on pulling the slack out a lot, so didn’t cue the leg drive quite right. Very bloody tired after yesterday’s added GMs, so I’m happy with this. Abs; 10-40kg, 60kg.
Day 32 DL, V stance; 1-200kg, 220kg, 240kg, [email protected], [email protected] speed. All chalk and hook, no grip issues. According to the internet, straining with straps means I have no grip strength, so I suppose I have to settle for days like today then. Focused again on pulling the slack out as high up as the bar would go. Much easier than last weeks 280s were, I feel as though there is definite progression over the past month.
Day 33 DL, V stance; 1-200kg, 220kg, 240kg, 250kg, 260kg, [email protected] speed. Time for a double or triple tomorrow. WG OHP; 5-60kg, [email protected] SSB GM; 5-60kg, 2x5-100kg. These will take some getting used to. Erectors and bracing all day. Enjoying it though.
