Comp Deadlift
200 x2
220 x1
240 x2 @9 (Wanted a triple, but felt although I could have go the last rep it would have been a grind and I didnt want to push to an RPE 10. Plus I let the bar get away from me making it harder than it needed to be, not quite used to a deadlift bar. Thought it best to live to fight another day)

Overall felt pretty tired and lethargic this morning.

Film says there was a triple there ;)

Peak squat is coming along nicely, but bench is just stellar for you right now.
Yeah its all moving in the right direction... would LOVE a 220 squat at the next comp in 6 weeks

Bench is always pretty solid... but like you said... no one cares about bench ;)

Pin, tempo or pause squat?
My favourite of those is pin squat. So at the moment I have 1 day in the week pin squating, then towards the end of the week I will use the pause squat for back off sets after my heavy single.

Seen a lot of buzz about tempo squats coming from Mike T and the RTS guys. might give them a whirl after competition.

Feeling pretty beat up this week. I'll see how I feel over the weekend but might take a deload next week then that will give me a nice 4 weeks to push up to comp.
By deload I mean basically just reducing the frequency and volume slightly:

Mon:
Comp Squat - Daily max no back off sets
Comp Bench - Daily max no back off sets

Wednesday:
Deadlift - 1-3 reps @ 8rpe
Front Squat - Daily max no bacck off sets
Comp Bench - Daily max no back off sets

Friday:
High Bar Squat - Daily max no back off sets
Comp Bench - Daily max no back off sets

I'll also throw in a few light face pulls and or pull owns
