In the interview with Dr. Eric Serrano he recommend fiber for fat loss. What is the role of fiber in fat loss ? Is it just a bulking agent to suppress hunger ?
I think it just comes down to hunger/filling much like Sears suggests for fat loss (hi-fibre foods taking longer to digest/G.I. and all that) Of course, the health benefits are always welcome too.
Fiber helps to slow down the digestion/absorption of carbs. This "tends" to lower insulin levels which in turn "may" help to prevent fat gain, and perhaps faciliate fat loss.
Fiber is good.
