On the plus side, I never did make real great gains until I quit boozing.

Booze, at least the way I drank, really knocks down your T levels.  
 
As most of you know, I now only drink for the enjoyment of having some beer or wine. It used to be the Animal House get as drunk as you can methodology behind my drinking. Alcohol intake has gone down drastically over the years.

I been recording macro nutrient intake for a while now, and that includes alcohol because it is calories.

Average Daily Intake (grams) per period...

Fall 05: 69.22
Winter 05-06: 55.41
Spring 06: 28.43
Summer 06: 17.18
Fall 06: 20.09
Winter 06-07: 18.33
Summer 07: 19.43
Fall 07: 11.82
Winter 07-08: 14.11

It's stabilized itself to about one drink per day which is a healthy serving. It's actually only that high because of the alcohol content in wine.
