Weight gain

Going with what Quad said... while I don't have any studies to show you, here's food for thought.  Unless you are eating a lot, or using AAS, it is very unlikely that you will gain more than 2 pounds of lbm in a week.  The irony to this, is that by eating enough to gain more than 2 pounds of lbm in a week, you will most likely have to gain a certain amount of fat due to your caloric excess.  Some people don't want to pack on the extra fat, and have to cut it off later... so they slow bulk.  So is it more optimal to gain more than 1-2 pounds a week?  Depends on how much you care about gaining some pudge.  It would be amazing if people could gain pounds of muscle without fat gain... without AAS.
