Correct I believe. We have to ascertain just what we're talking about here though. You sound like it's a pull, as in deads. We could also be talking about bench, where the initial loading is done by gravity, yet the STOP is done by muscle, the hold, and then the push back up. And to further skew any equations, (you sort of mentioned this), it takes more energy to lift against gravity than to resist it's pull downward.

Those equations are cool BTW. They're the background science for the argument for/against fast/slow movements. Mechanical science, not organic.
