German Volume Training

Nope. I think it's pretty useless unless you are just after temporary sarcoplasmic hypertrophy, which by and large goes away after you quit doing the volume training.

GVT work well for me only but only for chest and back, i was supersetting delince bench with under hand pull ups, then 3*10 of cable crossovers and 3*10 db bent over rows not supersetting. For arms i think its a waste of time didnt see much change. Good workout if your looking for mix things up abit.
 
It's a close cousin of strapping a tourniquet around your limbs as you train ... nice size increases until you remove the tourniquet ....
 
weight too light over the cycle IMHO.
Although some might substract a rep or set each week to achieve better overload.
