New To Hst

    Oh I most definitely will!!! I’ve done some lower rep training before on another program so I’m used to it thankfully!

    Two days worth of the 5s in the books. Easy street so far due to some small zig zagging but enjoying it overall!
    Switched gyms the other day, literally 30 seconds away from my old gym! Some idiots kept coming into my old gym and after I complained to management the idiots kept going so I left lol! New gym is definitely an upgrade to my last so winning!

    Finally hitting my 5 rep maxes this week, been a shock to actually lift at my rep max for the 5s. Strength seems to only just be holding on. One set for some exercises I had to drop a rep as I just couldn't keep up with good form. I guess they are called your rep max's for a reason lol. Overall, happy with the progress through the different phases. Next I'll decide if to keep on with the 5s or switch it up. Seeing as my strength is already falling (albeit only slightly) I might cycle back to the 15s soon.

    Progress pic update! Time to continue the 5s for another fortnight before cycling back to the beginning. I feel like I’ve either made some slight progress or my new gym has way better down lights haha! Naturally I am eating in a slight surplus for the first time in a while which has helped.
    I am loving HST and (aside from a niggle in my lower back) I am feeing great. Due to the lower back I have swapped around some exercises and have been laying off deadlifts for the past cycle. Still doing a full body three day routine which I have always loved doing. I enjoy the additional recovery after coming from a 6day upper/lower split.
    Ready to hit the next fortnight!

    Just some more progress pics to keep me accountable! Final week of 5s for me! Thankfully it’s winter here in Australia so the shred doesn’t have to start just quiet yet hehe!

    First cycle of 15s, 10s and 5s in the books! One of the more enjoyable workout styles/progression methods I think I’ve ever tried. Will make some tweaks over the weekend and get ready to bring my next cycle of HST. Thoroughly enjoyed the frequency, load progression and the feeling of not maxing out every session.

    what progress attributes have or do you see? I think you said you didn't take measurements, anything on the scale, or just the mirror?

    That’s right, I didn’t take any measurements just went by the mirror. I honestly do feel like I’ve put on some size all over. I still look the same leanness but my scale weight has gone up by about 1kg or so. Honesty I could try and eat more too!
    Unexpectedly I saw most growth on my triceps. Chest seems to have grown a fraction too- for me that’s always been lagging.
    Going to readjust my lifts this weekend and begin the 15s again!
