Dag, Quadman, that's a lot of iron to move after a hard day's work!

"...welcome to Atlanna where da playas play..."

No point in going in there to do LESS...except that the squats actually were a combination of workload, minus the really heavy stuff. I backed down for reps, but not too far and hit a max rep set. Could have gotten the 15th, but it would have been sloppy and dangerous, so quit at a good 13.
I need to alternate some other stuff with bench; my shoulders are leaving the building. I should have known better than to keep hitting heavy benches; that's what messed me up in the first place. I just really wanted to rehit that PR.

quad, I switched from incline BB bench to flat DB bench and or shoulder width BB flat bench and my shoulder has been getting much better. Not 100%, but great progress considering I am still using heavy weights.

ditto, i rarely do bench anymore. im a little weaker when it comes back to benching, but find dumbells far superior. especially for healthy shoulders.

Been there, done that. I've been benching too much (every workout) and going heavy for too long: didn't quite make my PR again on this cut and taking so long to get up to it. I'll alternate or quit.
Morning weight down to 201. WOAH! All of a sudden this IF is working TOO fast! Bad news is I still have my belly, of course. Arms beginning to shrink too, but I mustn't look TOO bad, 'cuz the boyzz in the 'hood were asking me today ''what do you bench" and all that jazz.
Was given a free weight bar at work and decided to make the best of it. While my paintcrew was working, I hit the playground for 2 sets of BW chins x 15, 2 sets of BW pullups x 15, 3 sets of semi-inverted BW pulls x 12, then hit the shed for overhead presses using 5 galllon buckets on that bar x 12 reps each. Then loaded six 1-gallon cans (3 per side) for 3 x 15 french presses, then 2 sets of curls x 12 and quit due to forearm pain.
0n a snatch for the first set of overheads, the bar swung up into my neck and dang near crushed my larnyx. After the w.o. I took 4 Vicodene @ 12:30; it's now 2:00 and my throat still hurts bad. Some guys thought it (Vicodene) worked better on their wives, so being the Angel of Accidents, Deb had burned her face with a curling iron. I gave her 4 Vicodene caps and she said it sort of took the edge off the pain for a couple hours, then she hit the ibuprofen. I'm going to take a couple myself; I can hardly swallow. Stuff doesn't kill pain.
Paint buckets may be bad for you.

After a week on the androgenerator, how's it working for you or is it to soon to tell? Da playas must be in Atlanta, 5 gallon buckets and 1 gallon cans, that's hardcore!!

I won't waste my money again. The naysayers were right, as far as I can tell, but I'll finish the bottle and see if any latent effects come up. Ten pills a day: you'd think that would do something, even if it was weak.

No paint, no gaint...

Quad, keep at the cut...The hardest part of cutting is when you start to deflate, but don't see the positive effects quite yet.

I have been cutting for a while now. It has taken longer than expect, but I am down to about 10-11% bf and am excited for 9%. When done, you'll look better and stronger, even if you are a bit smaller and weaker.

How tall are you anyway?

You need to get this thread in the training log section. I miss it often because I forget its here. Oh, and I think you should stick to the Quadrack unless you want to injure yourself...crap like that can put you out of commission.

I hate having to work out in the evenings when I feel like a flat tire, and that was a day where I had nothing to do but wait on my crews, so being a dedicated iron idiot, well, you know...
I'm 5'11"

54yrs old, or as we say, holding down the back side of 50.

Hmmm, I thought I WAS in the 'logs' section...anyway, I've got a new, or should I say "NEW" training concept I'll be posting tonight in the training section. Stay tuned for further details! "Gain 50lbs. of ROCK HARD SOLID MUSCLE and LOSE 20lbs. of FAT in only 2 WEEKS!" ...............uhuh.

Edit: Made it to 2:00 for breakfast: morning weigh-in 201 and preworkout (3:30) was 204+...over 3 lbs. of food! Well I just wanted to do deads anyway...and they weren't as good as I'd expected, but I did do them without the straps this time; I'll get past the pain.
225x5, 275x5, 315x5, 365x5, 405x3 and 2 - grip slipped.
425x0...nothin' left today, belly full too.

I've not gone this many pounds down before, so it just looks to me like I'm shrinking. I do show some cuts and abs in the morning at least...but the only thing keeping me on this track is the fact that I've gotten totally used to not eating breakfast until 1-2:00pm. It's actually not too bad, aside of some occasional stomach upsets, which a steady infusion of coffee with a dab of milk takes care of. That first meal is a banger though...today it was IHOP's 'Colorado Omelette' with the 'Harvest grain' pancakes and honey...woooooooowwwwwwww...........usually I don't eat the whole thing, but now...I even ate half of Deborah's!

Why not?

Quad...I think you need to make one HELL of a run at trying to Cut this time around.

I mean cut big time...maybe you need to drop down to 185...190...go for it and if you don't like the result...don't worry about cutting again and go for the MASS game!

Well I'm still on it, and still uncomfortable with my gut, so I'm hangin'. One problem that is arising is joints. Doing all this heavy lowrep work has saved the beef for the most part, but I may take a week of maintenance along with some 15's to ease the pain in my els, shoulders and a little in the back.
Dipth:
BWx10wu, 25x10, 45x10, 75x10, 90x10, and 125x5, because I can.

Pendlay's
225x5, 265x5, 305x5, 225x10. I realized I wasn't even gonna match last w.o. so quit with the highrep set.

Flyes - pump set finisher. 50's I think.

Good idea...I don't think that 2 or 3 weeks would be a bad idea.

Maybe bang out some 12 rep sets and I think you could still hang on to the mass.

I have done both...cut on low reps about 5 to 6 and high reps 10 to 12 and I never saw a difference...if anything the additional reps may have helped a little in calorie expenditure.

Or you could always bang out one heavy set and then for the joints as well as metabloic work throw in higher reps.

I dont think going heavy is a must though to keep your mass...IMO.

Also...I want to see you hit 190 hell maybe even 187 pounds....I bet you will look like a monster!!!!

It looks like you'll be SD'ing around the same time that I am.. The joint relief that SD provides is highly underestimated by many, no matter what age they are.

Not feeling it today, so stuck to the new plan. Only did squats as my elbows hurt for some reason (the new squat position?) and I feel like crud.
135 x5, 225 x 5, 315x10, 355x6, 315x10. Enough volume I guess. One more squat day and hit the deads for one w.o., as per the new plan I put up.
