10 x 3 madness

Today was absurd.

First I received notice that I won through a lottery draw a start place for the 2007 Transalp Mountain bike race which goes for 7 days, about 900km and over the german, austrian and italian alps. It is like the tour de france for mountain bikers.

Then to celebrate I did the following workout

Front squat: 10 x 3 x 95 kg
Dead lifts: 20 x 3 x 150kg ( after the deads I feel asleep for 10 minutes in the corner of the gym, somebody woke me up otherwise I would still be there)
Standing Military press 20 x 3 x 60 kg
Dips 10 x 3 x 30kg
Pullups 10 x 3 x bodyweight (97kg)

1 hour 45 minutes and 1477 calories

I will sleep like a mountain tonight. Tomorrow at 9 am I have my lactate test on the bike, body fat, lung vol etc....
 
You crazy bastard....you are an ironman! Keep up the good work, if you can!

Dear Doc,

Many congrats on getting the race entry but, man, have you lost it!

20 sets of deads?! I'm just amazed you woke up at all. Excellent!

I woke up this morning feeling like a half a million bucks!
Unreal! My back felt perfect.
