Your genetics are awesome....you will looking amazing in about 6 months!</div>
That's the plan...Thanks man!!!!!

550 lb rack pull. As you can see, I set the bars just slightly above knee level. Got chalk lines on my pants. I don't like the picture because I was pushing my stomach out, so I look fat. Heh.

A closer look at the plates.

Speaking of which, someone should set it up so we can post pictures in the training logs forum...

Awsome! That's all I'll say!

It's good to think you were even bigger and are back on track again after the thing...how close are you getting to your former weight?

I don't think I ever pulled as much before, but I was doing about 400 or maybe it was 405 for my 5 RM before, so in theory I should have been able to pull a 450 1 RM for deads. I'm going to try a 450 dead on the 18th.

edit: stupid wireless keyboard...

Looking hard-core Totentanz! You look kinda like that main character guy in fight club only more muscular (bigger).

Looking good, tot.

I should've taken a pic when I nailed my 530 rack pull. Something about that exercise just gets the juices going, eh?

As I said in your log, just hanging onto that little lot deserves a medal. Good lift.

That would be cool.

Yeah, rack pulls are great. I think they are beneficial in getting your body accustomed to holding up that much weight as well, which translates to a heavier deadlift...

Just wish I had better bone structure (longer arms and legs, less shoulder slant)...sigh...

Also want a bigger back and much bigger shoulders. Slightly bigger biceps, same triceps. I want smaller thighs too...

6'0&quot;, 185lbs. Don't want to be more than 190lbs.

Tong

Great bod, what are ya complaining about? All you need is alittle tuning then, smaller thighs, they proportionate, what ytou wanna look like...a ballet dancer?

IMO all you need is a slight bit on the upper body and you'll look even better.

You keep doing HST and by the end of teh year if you keep all going properly you'll look just right!

Quad...looking good...just looking at that forearm one can see this old man does not play games...that's a forearm used to some unusual weight lifting!

Tongzilla...your legs are awesome. You look pretty cut too, I like to think I would look pretty good at 185, but my legs wouldn't be anywhere near that level. Good job.

Haha...ballet dancer, not really, BUT thinking about it, some ballet dancers do actually have some very aesthetically pleasing bodies. I just want body that looks proportional within the constraints of my genetics. I want something that looks good not only in a tank top in the gym, but also in a shirt or a suit. People with huge pecs and traps don’t look nice in a suit.

Regarding my quads and gluts...they are SO easy to stimulate/grow compared to the rest of my body. Just 4 sets of 5 reps of squats per week (linear progression, 2 sets per workout) and they become huge. Why can't my shoulders/back do that? Genetics I guess. Here's the weird thing. I stopped doing squats at one point because I didn't want them to get any bigger. However, this adversely affected my upper body strength and mass. So now I've reverted back to them, but being very careful with the weight and volume and rep range (trying to stay below the &quot;hypertrophy rep range&quot; of 8-12 reps).

Scientific muscle, my body fat is around 12-14% Do you think I can stay in this range whilst putting on muscle? Or do I have to increase this percentage further?

PS: guys, haven't you noticed how f***ed up my abs are? Don't ask my why -- not even I know why. It's not like I train one side of my abs more than the other.

You look 12% or less to me. Yes, you can keep adding muscle. I think once people reach 15-16% bodyfat, its time to cut. But anyone under that can eat a slight caloric surplus and with the right training, should be able to add some muscle without getting fat. I recently bulked up to 210 and 16% bodyfat. I then dropped some fat and I am now 203 and 14% bodyfat. I look fatter than you, but its so hard fo rme to decide wether to bulk or cut, so right now I am eating at maintenance and focusing on strength. I really should cut, but I hate losing size and strength.
Anyway, enough about me, judging by your pictures, I wouldl keep trying to grow if I were you, you could use some more mass on the upper body and your abs are good enough that it wouldn't hurt to keep adding bodyweight.

BTW, the old 8-12 for hypertrophy is BS if you ask me. In my experience, the heavier the load, the more hypertrophy. So maybe your legs are growing so well because you are using such low reps and heavy weigths for legs.
Try using a slightly lighter weigth and higher reps for legs, and for upper body try to go a little heavier. Recently I have been doing heavy benching for chest (4-6 reps) and my pecs are growing better than ever!!! It seems at least for me that I get the best repsonse from weigths in the 4-8rm range. 8-12 works too, but I seem to grow slower with the lighter weights.
