mmm yr upper body def has made improvement,
quite some mass u packed on, 5ibs at least?
thickness improved. but like u said, yr wheels
need more work, over all good effort, how
u manage to stick w 3x5 or 2 x 10, i'm actually
in my wk 3 2 x 10 & i skipped today's workout
cause i think i overtrained myself w deadlifting
3x a wk (& it just got past 200 ibs), if u read
my log u'll have an idea on where i'm now,
appreciate yr advice too.

hotterdog - I am currently alternating my workouts i.e.
First week:
Mon - workout 1
Wed - workout 2
Fri - workout 1

Second week:
Mon - workout 2
Wed - workout 1
Fri - workout 2

Workout 1
Deadlifts
pullups
dips
overhead press
(then some isolation if I feel so inclined)
overhead tricep extensions
bicep curls
rear delt flyes

Workout 2
Squats
bentover rows
incline bench
overhead press
(then some isolation if I feel so inclined)
overhead tricep extensions
bicep curls
rear delt flyes

The isolations are the only ones that I don't necessarily stick to a certain number of sets. I really just do what I feel like doing. My compounds however I stick with the sets I mentioned.

Hope that helps to clear things up.

Brian

DV-

You might find that you actually get more mass on your 2nd cycle than your 1st.  I know this isn't the case for most, but I'm gaining mass much faster on this one and I'm only on week 2.  Two reasons I see for my greater return on this one so far:  You may or may not realize that you aren't eating enough.  I'm not sure of your diet, and even though you may be eating clean, and getting in your required protein, you may not be eating enough.  I was shocked after looking into Colby's "maximizing your caloric intake" thread that I had actually been doing a CUT diet wise lol.  Secondly, I feel like the foundation in strength I gained on the first cycle set the stage for me to exercise much more efficiently this go around.  Form, intensity, etc. is all much better for me atm.

Basically, don't give up yet.  I'm not sure of your BW, but if I gained 5 pounds I would be thrilled.  Besides, from what I've seen on here, a slower bulk might be better for you in the end anyways as long as you have the patience.  I can't see your pics because I'm at work and it blocks everything but I'm sure you've made improvements from what the others said.  Good luck and hope you stick with it.

I am 5'9" at 165 lbs. I am currently eating anywhere from 2200-2300 calories per day. And I gained a total of 15 pounds for this first cycle. So yes I have put on more body fat. I adjusted my calories to have less fat and more carbs mid cycle to try and curb the fat gain some.

And you guys were right, I just took my measurements with the tape measure and everything increased about an inch or more!! But that includes my waist size.

Thanks again for the compliments and advice guys.

slapshotz looking good!
nice side chest pose, wish my chest
was tat thick, how big are damn biceps?
tounge.gif

Looking great Slapz, the cut was worth it I see, darn...you basically one pound heavier than I, and two whole inches taller.

No really now...the back and chst poses look nice and think...great targets too.
wink.gif

Dang Slapz... lookin' straight up jacked. 5 pounds heavier than me, and looking more like 15 pounds more LBM than me... and way better BF%. Pecs definitely look thick from that side pose. Keep it up!

Thanks to sci, hotdog, fausto & gator!

My goal from the beginning was to get beach shredded. It takes bukko dedication to take it that one step further, and go for ultimate rippedness. Personally, I know I couldn't do it, which is why I'm stopping here
smile.gif

Sci: yeah, my back is probably my best body part. So far, I haven't suffered much since I stopped deadlifting (oh, how I miss it so...), but my mid-back development will surely wither down if I don't get back to them in the next month or two.

Fausto: I'm actually taller than someone on this board? First for everything, I guess!

UFGator: You're still a young pup yet...after about 10 years of training, you're going to blow most of us out of the water. You have great genetics. Just keep going hardcore with those compound movements, and you'll be a beast in no time.

Hotterdog: my arms are surprisingly small...only 15.5 inches

But a 15" lean arm looks better than a 17" fat arm most of the time. It took me a long time to learn that lesson.

looking good slapshotz, with a cut like that,it shows you have the discipline to pull it off.

i looked at your stats/goals on your sig,i was wondering do you have an overall weight tartget too?

Tks, Icars. Contrary to what my good buddy Q-dood poked at

I don't really have a weight target goal. My goal is to increase strength, and maintain my 6-pack. If I put on a pound or two of lbm per year, so be it, but it's secondary to my main goal of strength.

Well, I GOT that bro! I can curl you.

Okay okay, I'll leave off it! It's just that I haven't jerked your chain in over a month!
