You're kidding, right?

At 5' 8", you are a giant of a man -- a full half foot taller than I (fortunately, I'm much better looking...

Yeah, I know! As a matter of fact, you invited me to good 'ol Georgia to perform such a feat...guess I'll have to bench press you, huh?

Now there's something that's pretty easy to do!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to thank you folks for your help and training advice.

I just got through with a cut while implementing the simplify and win philosophy.

Obviously, diet had a big part to play, but I loved the simplify and win A/B split!

Thanks Fausto and everyone else who helped straighten my routine out!

Those are just for comparison, and not the best pics.

Here's a more normal pic

Hectam, looking good bro.
¿ Can u post your height, weight and fat% ?
peace

PD: the more i look myself the skinnier i see myself, after more than a year struggling to gain weight im still not half happy with what im getting, it really sux. After having a great nutrition program all i have to blaim is my lanky genetic

this pic was last year, 10 pounds less than now, not looking much better now, too tall to view significant improvement (6´4") dont know how much fat% was either.

First things first, Hecta M

Radical improvement...good work bro, the cut was worth it but I can see LBM coming thourgh very nicely as well...keep up the good work.

It is a pleasure to have introduced, or should I rather say enhanced a phylosophy that was a part of most HST vets for a long time and that simply works...here's proof!

Bryan...there's enough material with pictures to include in your book that's for sure!

Ministro...nothing worng with your build mate...first of all the body fat looks right to me, many of us puppy's are a lot fatter than that!
biggrin.gif

Secondly, wanting better is good, you're at the right place, now your w/o looks better after "re-working" so couple that with agood nutrition program and in 8 weeks time you'll be thinking differently! Really!

HectaM, wow u look good dude,
i guess the fat loss was worth it.
keep up e good work man
tounge.gif

ministro, u have the frame there,
but probably try to eat more,
i'm on the high metabolic side myself
so just gotta eat more calorie dense
food & more meals, the only setback
is certain times you'll feel sick of eating
the same food over & over again,so
that's where cheat meals come in
tounge.gif

Hotterdog, bieleve me, i eat a ton, in my last cycle, i was eating 4500 kcal daily, and i only weight 192. And the diet is great, lots of veggies besides that, nice protein intake, good fat intake (avocado, fish body oils, salmon, olive oil, peantus) all those kinda food daily. Veggies like colilflower, brocoli, lettuce, carrots, onions daily also. I also take During workout liquid meal and post workout liquid meal focused on boosting insulin, creatine, whey protein, chicken breast, turkey, tuna, pasta, honey, apples. All the foods i wrote i eat them daily.
So i hope im not calorie short. Eating all that my fat% raised about 1% on a 3 week diet. now im cutting a bit since i start 2nd week 15´s (eating about 2.800 kcal for cutt, not much starving)
I eat 6 meals daily
take care, peace

Fausto: " Secondly, wanting better is good, you're at the right place, now your w/o looks better after "re-working"
what ya mean with w/o ?
sorry but i didnt understand that.

it seems you have maintaned all the muscle while losing the fat, which means you trained correctly and dieted correctly good job
cool.gif

Ministro
you have a good foundation to build on.
if you want to gain weight and you are already eating correctly then you must look at your routine or your activity levels, stick with about 4 or 5 big compound movements and cut back or stop cardio altogether see how you go.good luck

it´s pretty Sad when you put a lot of effort on this, and see that results are not close to what they should, this really makes me lack of motivation, but i wont throw the towell yet. Im going to see how my 2nd cycle turns.

dont let it get you down, longevity is important in training i found that out myself.find ways to keep yourself motivated.

perhaps set yourself goals that are attainable,im sure youll do well.

Ministro

Ptience is very important, you got some tips that are good.

Slow cardio down a little.

w/o = workout
biggrin.gif

Ministro,

I'm 5'8"

Currently, I weigh 150 pounds

And I haven't used my BF calipers in a bit, but based on experience I'd guess my BF is around 8-9%

And I know things will work out for you, it’s easy to get discouraged, but I agree with lcars in setting “baby step” goals.

Just keep on plugging, and eating (correctly,) and the gains will come over time.

As you may be able to tell, I like taking progress pictures, because even if I feel discouraged, pictures help with gaining perspective. When you see yourself every day in the mirror, it’s hard to perceive any progress you may be making. Do you already take periodic progress pics?
__

But yea! Thanks everyone for the encouragement and help!

This has been probably the easiest cut I've ever done.

Simplify and Win makes cutting much easier, because you don't have to do a million different exercises, and that's especially important if your energy is lower than when you’re bulking.
smile.gif

And I've been Beta testing some software that really makes the diet part of cutting much easier.

It basically lets you pick the foods you want to eat and then reverse engineers a diet for you based on the foods you enter. It works off of your macro's. It's almost like every day is a cheat day!
smile.gif
It's kinda cool realizing that even ice cream can work in with your daily macro's even when cutting.

It works kinda like a backwards FitDay.

This combined with HST Simplify and Win really seemed to help keep me from getting bored, and it maintained my motivation, energy, and retained most of my hard earned LBM.

Less = More!

HectaM - Great results. You have some good lat development... I doubt there is any chance of secretly giving out the beta version of that software, eh?

Ditto on the software....

I have just been using a spreadsheet that I have made based on the weight watchers diet. (I know, I know). But you know what it worked for me. So I would be sure to guess it would work for anyone else as well.

I can upload it if desired.

Software.....software.....software.....software.....software.....software.....software....
.software.....software.....software.....software.....software.....software.....software...
..software.....software.....software.....software.....software.....software.....software..
...software.....software.

Obviously I don't expect a beta copy. But I would love to know the name of it when it is released for sale.
