Baxmans Trip

Clean form is good, but I think my snatch and overhead squat still need some work. They are much improved from the beginning and the more I snatch and overhead squat the easier it becomes. I'm amazed when watching olympic lifters on you tube and how smooth and easy they make the snatch look. I really should video tape myself and check out how my form looks. Better yet, some lessons from a oly lifting coach would be sweet. For now, I'll just keep with the plan and increase the weight a little at a time.

Second sets were tough and probally 1 rep shy of failure. Kind of surprised by this, I figured it wouldn't be too bad. Is this common for 1st workout of tens? Anyways, my strength seems to be crap. I'm going to order some creatine tomorrow, been off for 4 weeks now. Hopefully that will give me a little boost. Have to eat some more and drink more milk too! Oh yeah, I'm going to do my oly lifting in the a.m. on off days for my two weeks of tens.

Nice job for feeling like crap. 10th rep on 2nd sets of squat, bench and chins were all at failure. Still a little behind on weight from my 2nd HST cycle, but inching closer. Left shoulder giving me some grief.

Very nice job for feeling like crap. Your bench is only 10% off your squats. Mine was ~30% off when my bench was at its best!

Thanks Lol,  I'd rather have a bigger squat like yours and quite frankly I've been seriously thinking about dropping bench in favor of OHP's.  Surprisingly, OHP's don't bother my shoulder like benching does.

Well,  I think I reached my 10 rep maxes a little early.  These were some tough sets. Could have maybe got ten on set 2 of bench, but I hit the pins on the way down...really bums me out when I do that.  Really digging the RDL's, grip was strong and will increase the weight some more.
Started taking creatine again today.

Pretty intense today. 2 reps shy of a PR in OHP..I really wanted that one and will give it another shot Fri. Those deadlifts have to be the hardest 2 sets I've done in awhile. I've done 320 for ten, but not 2 sets so I'm real happy about the effort with 315. Bench is 5# off my best of 195 for 9. A good gym day!

Missed my clean workout yesterday because I was still feeling the deads from Weds so today...

Finished those and went and played hockey with my boys for an hour and a half. Sure beats the treadmill!!

OHP's were solid, helped doing them before bench. Squats were nasty tough. Reps 6-10 had a pause with 5 deep breaths between reps and were real slow coming up. Onto the 5's

Don't think I was fully recovered from Sun. workout. Squats, bench and OHP felt heavy while cleans,chins and RDL's felt great. Grip held up nice on the RDL's. I remember back a few years ago doing RDL's with straps and 205 for 6. I'm going to shoot for 205 for twelve next time and use a hook grip if I have to.

Turkish Get Ups 1x5x25db per side AWESOME exercise

I was watching some youtube and some how got to watching people doing turkish getups with kettlebells. Looked cool so I tried it with a dumbbell. I'm glad I did because that is one kick a** exercise. I also watched a dude do a turkish getup with a 135# barbell....Now that is something to be proud of.

**Previous best snatch was 1x1x100.

Didn't feel like benching today so I tried some dips and by the third rep the old shoulder was really whining, bummer, so just did a set of pushups. Used a double overhand grip on my last set of deads which surprising worked pretty good..used a hook grip on the last two reps(I thought I lost my thumbs).
